FinovateFall
About This Event
FinovateFall is the New York edition of the Finovate demo conference, where fintech vendors present new products in seven-minute live demos to an audience of banking decision-makers, investors and analysts. It sits alongside Money20/20 USA, FinTech Meetup and Sibos as calendar anchors for the same audiences.
What happens
The core of Finovate is the demo format itself — back-to-back seven-minute live product demonstrations from vendors, with strict time limits and no marketing slides. Two days of demos are followed by analyst-led sessions, panel discussions and structured networking that allow attendees to follow up on the products they want to evaluate further. Each demo competes for industry awards voted by the audience, and the Finovate Best of Show selections carry real weight in subsequent sales cycles. A separate analyst-summit programme runs alongside the demos for senior banking buyers.
Who attends
The audience is uniquely buyer-skewed: senior product, digital and innovation roles at US banks, credit unions, wealth managers and insurers come specifically to evaluate vendors at speed. Investors and analysts from Celent, Forrester, Aite-Novarica, Datos Insights and the corporate-VC arms of major financial institutions form the second layer. Vendors themselves are exhibitors and demo-presenters rather than typical conference attendees. The event is notably free of the deep regulatory and policy presence that defines other US fintech conferences, sharpening its commercial focus.
Dominant themes
The demo line-up each year captures the state of fintech product innovation across digital banking platforms, lending automation, payments and money movement, wealth and asset management, fraud and identity, regulatory technology, customer experience and the rapidly growing category of AI-native financial services tooling. Recent editions have seen heavy representation from embedded finance and Banking-as-a-Service platforms, generative AI applications in advice and customer service, ESG-data and reporting tools, and small-business banking. The format makes Finovate the cleanest single venue to scan the year's fintech product launches.
Planning to attend
New York hotel pricing is high year-round and rises further during conference week — book accommodation early and consider midtown or downtown options near the venue. The condensed two-day demo format means attendees should plan a clear pre-event list of categories to focus on; trying to absorb every demo is impractical without a plan. The conference app drives meeting scheduling for vendor follow-ups. International visitors should plan for the time-zone reset and expect a high-tempo two days — the demo format leaves no slow moments. FinovateFall opens the US autumn run: FinCon in Palm Springs the following week, Sibos in Miami at the end of September, and Money20/20 USA in Las Vegas in October.
