Money20/20 Europe
About This Event
Money20/20 Europe is the continent's largest fintech conference, bringing the European payments, banking, fintech and embedded-finance ecosystems together each June for three days of deal-making, keynotes and product launches. It sits alongside MoneyLIVE Payments Europe, European Digital Finance Conference and Money20/20 USA as calendar anchors for the same audiences.
What happens
Multiple stages run in parallel across three days: a main stage with industry CEOs and central-bank governors, a payments stage focused on infrastructure and rails, a fintech stage skewed toward consumer products and embedded finance, and a stable of smaller stages dedicated to regulation, B2B payments, crypto and emerging markets. The expo hall is the size of several football pitches and is the densest concentration of payments-and-fintech vendors in Europe at any moment in the year. Side events — investor breakfasts, regulator round-tables, country pavilions, late-night networking — extend the conference well beyond the official agenda. Major commercial announcements, partnership signings and funding rounds are routinely timed to the show.
Who attends
The audience is unusually senior: founders and C-suite from European fintechs and challenger banks, payments and digital leadership from the largest universal banks, networks and processors, the major card-scheme leadership, regulators from the ECB, EBA and national authorities, and a thick layer of growth-stage and corporate VC. Vendor presence includes all the major payment service providers, core-banking platforms, KYC/AML providers, identity vendors and the global card networks. Geography skews European but with strong North American, Latin American and Middle Eastern representation; the conference is the European venue where global fintech players cross paths.
Dominant themes
The 2026 agenda emphasises PSD3 and the Payment Services Regulation, SEPA Instant Payments mandates, the rollout of ISO 20022 across European market infrastructures, Click to Pay and tokenisation, the digital euro programme, generative AI applications in lending and customer service, Banking-as-a-Service business models, the stablecoin regulatory environment under MiCA, and the continuing reshaping of cross-border B2B payments. Embedded finance retains its own track, and the consumer payments programme covers everything from wallet competition to Buy Now Pay Later regulation.
Planning to attend
This is a high-value but high-cost trip. Full passes run into four figures and Amsterdam hotel pricing during conference week is among the highest of any European conference city. The conference app drives meeting density — book key meetings before arriving and use the expo as the connective tissue. The venue, the RAI Amsterdam convention centre at Europaplein in the city's Zuidas district, is well-connected to the city centre by tram and metro; staying near the venue cuts daily commute time materially. Many delegates extend the trip to attend Amsterdam Fintech Week side events around the same week, and the June European payments circuit continues with EBAday in Copenhagen two weeks later. The franchise's other 2026 editions are Money20/20 USA at the Venetian in Las Vegas in October and Money20/20 Middle East in Riyadh in September. International attendees should fly in by Sunday evening and out by Friday morning to capture the full programme without missing the post-event networking.
